What kind of life coach does this?

What kind of life coach has a messy room?

This question can be taken as a judgement.

Instead, I choose to use this question to peek into pure possibility for myself. I invite you to do the same πŸ’«

If I have something occurring in my life that does not feel aligned for me, I can ask myself this question with love and curiosity, and change ‘messy room’ to whatever is relevant for me.

For example, what kind of life coach has a meltdown about not being able to put on fake eyelashes correctly?

Well, that was me, some years ago before my friend’s wedding reception in Italy. I got progressively more and more frustrated with myself about the fact that I couldn’t get my makeup ‘right’, I was swearing, getting agitated and being obnoxious.

My husband had never seen me this way. What surprised me was that he didn’t judge me even for a second and eventually after not being able to get the eyelashes on, giving up and calming down, I started to feel ashamed of how I acted. I turned to Amit and apologised.

He said: ‘what are you apologising for? It’s ok. You look great. Let’s go have some fun!’

I saw in that moment that he wasn’t judging me at all. I was judging me.
In that moment, I could see my innocence and I was overcome with love for me.

What kind of life coach loses their mind over fake eyelashes?
😡 The kind that is judging themselves for their appearance.
😡 The kind that is judging themselves for putting weight on after an ectopic pregnancy.
😡 The kind that is feeling heavy and is telling themselves that they are fat and disgusting.

When I saw this with loving eyes and a curious heart, I remembered 2 lines of my document (my daily declarations of who I am creating myself to be)…

πŸ’› I am the sexiest and most beautiful woman on the planet.
πŸ’› I am that I love and respect every inch of my gorgeous body.

When I don’t judge me, I am free to love me.

Since forgiving myself for judging myself again (it’s an infinite daily practice), I am reminded that I am love.

I don’t have to try to love me if I am love. Ahhhh relaaaax.

Since then, it’s been way easier to move daily, to eat right, to drink water and to treat my body with infinite kindness.

This fiercely loving question shows me the gaps in which I am withholding love from myself and others. If I use it as a weapon to wield judgement upon myself, I drop further into the illusion of self-deprecation.

The Truth is that judgement is ineffective for self-development.
There is tremendous freedom in sharing our fallibility with the world because when we do then we no longer have to hide in shame.

So what kind of life coach…? is my favourite and most loving question because it reminds me I will never be perfect and I am always growing, just like all the amazing humans around me. These questions allow me to see the gaps in who I am being and practice self-forgiveness daily.

Seeing the world through love and not judgement has been the ride of my life, and the adventure continues 🀟

For me, coaching is not a job. It is my way of life. I choose to live in continuous self-forgiveness and love for who I am becoming. I will never be the finished article and that’s what makes living so fun.
