When I create excuses, what I am really creating are limitations for why I can’t.
‘I want to but I can’t because I don’t have time.’
And sometimes these excuses are really convincing. Every time I buy the excuse, I reinforce the limitation and it robs me of my freedom.
If I am willing to surrender my excuses of why I can’t, I enter a new world entirely. I enter a world of creation, where anything is possible.
This world offers me possibilities that I cannot see when I am operating inside the world of ‘I can’t becauseβ¦’
When I surrender my excuses, I enter the world of deeply asking myself ‘What do I really want?’
I get clear on my true commitments. Then I create a life where I can have it all. Because I am ONLY committed to what I really want, not what I should want. I can say no effectively and with clarity because my commitments are clear.
From this place, I treat saying yes to something like I am giving away a bar of gold. My yeses hold that much weight.
And my no’s are clear. That serves everyone, including me.
Getting clear on my commitments is setting me free.
I am cleaning up my word in every area of my life because commitment is the ultimate freedom.
