If ‘other’ and ‘separateness’ didn’t exist? π€―
If I was only ever interacting with myself, I would always show up with my highest levels of listening;
- I’d have infinite patience with everyone;
- I’d treat people with immense love no matter what I think they’ve done or not done;
- I wouldn’t judge and instead enter the playground of love and understanding.
When love and understanding are what I’m looking for in everyone, I find exactly that.
Ram Dass says: ‘When you are looking for the Divine in everyone, that is exactly what you’ll find. Everyone you meet has the opportunity to see the Divine through your being.
And everyone you meet has the opportunity to see the Divine in themselves when they look into your eyes, because you are a mirror and because that’s what you are looking at in them.’ π€―π€―π€―
When I stop seeing others as separate from me and I actively look for their greatness, my whole world changes. My relationships deepen, I take less offence to things and I see that everyone is doing their best at all times.
As life coaches, this is so valuable because we are not separate from those we serve. Holding back from serving people because ‘who am I to serve them?’ or ‘what will they think of me if I say that?’ simply disappears when I come from this place.
What shows up instead is true service. How would I want to be loved? Am I really giving that same level of love to everyone around me? Am I really sharing what needs to be shared and not shying away from it? π€
I am not interested in focusing on problems. Because problems are thought processes that do NOT belong to me. I do not own them and they do not own me. They are not attached to me.
Before all problems lies True Mental Health.
Before all problems lies the Real Me that transcends all of that. π
